ANSWER: The batteries can be charged by either connecting them to a trickle charger or by allowing them to charge while the generator is running using it’s internal charging system.

Bought to use for power outages.
First outage was last month.
It ran everything in my house that I needed it to run. It ran my refrigerator, freezer, small window air conditioner, TV, computer, and lights, all at the same time.
Ran for about 6 hours and only used about half of a 20 lb propane tank. Very happy with my purchase.
I recently purchased a XP4850EH from Duormax.
The generator arrived in good condition and started immediately once I added oil and fuel.
I then noticed a broken piece on the fuel line system.
As the book tells me, I called customer service and…to my surprise, my call was answered immediately be a very knowledgeable service technician.
He talked me through a couple of options and we settled on one that was good.
A few weeks later I was having trouble with starting the generator on propane.
I took another chance and called customer support and ..voila. Brandon again.
Again, he told me exactly what to do, gave me his extension number if I had further issues, and thanked me for my business…
WOW is about all I can say.
The world needs more DuroMax’s and Brandon’s in it!
